Thierry Casias (he/him) is a visual artist and photographer.

His work explores themes of displacement, belonging, and otherness where emotion and mood often take precedence over faithful representation.

After earning a Bachelor in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute, Thierry pursued a 20-year career as an Industrial Designer before returning to a dedicated study of Photography at the International Center of Photography’s Creative Practices program.

As an Industrial Designer and Creative Director for the timepiece industry, Thierry's work has earned him recognition in mainstream and trade publications, and has been featured on fashion runways. He has worked with, and designed for high profile clients such as Microsoft, Pfizer, Fossil, Marc Jacobs, Movado, Bulova.

Thierry is a member of The Dodge and Burn Collective (the only NYC-based Photography Critique group centering the legacies of people of color), and organized ICP a peer-to-peer photography critiques at ICP from 2016-2020.

Thierry's work has been featured in several NYC group exhibitions, and was presented at the School of Visual Arts Photo Salon in October 2018.

Thierry currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
