Discordant
In July 2016 we woke up to the news that yet another young Black man had died at the hand of police. This collection of images was my gut reaction to the rising anguish, and a question to the world and to myself. Could I ever find my place in a society I felt increasingly at odds with? Did I even want to? I chose Polaroid as a medium for its immediacy and scale. I wanted these to feel intimate, delicate, unique, ephemeral, fragile as life.
